wiganwetbelts.co.uk is operated by Voodoo Motorworks Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15028869), VAT number GB451043825, trading as Wigan Wetbelts. Our workshop is at Unit 2E, Cricket Street, Wigan, WN6 7TP and our registered office is Unit 2f, Cricket Street, Wigan, WN6 7TP. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. 1. What we collect

• Contact details you give us when requesting a quote: your name, phone number, email address and preferred contact method.
• Vehicle details: registration number, make, model, engine and year, either entered by you or looked up from your registration.
• Quote details: the work you asked about, your preferred date, the estimate shown, and any message you include.
• Technical basics: our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, pages requested) for security and reliability. With your consent we also use the Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure how our adverts perform, see section 6.

2. Why we collect it and our lawful basis

• To provide your quote and arrange your booking: this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
• To contact you about your enquiry by your chosen method, including phone, SMS, email or WhatsApp: same basis as above.
• To keep records of quotes and completed work: our legitimate interest in running the business, and legal obligations for accounting records.
• To keep the website secure: our legitimate interest in preventing abuse.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third party marketing.

3. Vehicle registration lookup

If you use the "Find my vehicle" feature, the registration you enter is sent to a vehicle data provider to identify the make, model and engine, so we can quote accurately. Only the registration is sent, none of your personal contact details.

4. Who processes your data for us

• Vercel hosts the website and delivers pages to your browser.
• Supabase stores quote enquiries in our secure database.
• FormSubmit relays your quote enquiry to our workshop email.
• Bunny Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site. It is a privacy first font service that does not set cookies, track visitors, or log IP addresses.
• A vehicle data provider resolves registration lookups as described above.

These providers act under their own security commitments and, where based outside the UK, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep it

Quote enquiries are kept while we may still do the work and for our business records, normally no longer than 24 months from your last contact with us, unless the quote becomes a job, in which case invoice records are kept for 6 years as required by HMRC. You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner at any time.

6. Cookies and local storage

When you first visit, we ask whether you accept cookies. If you decline, no tracking loads at all. If you accept, we use the Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure how our website and adverts perform and to show relevant ads to people like you. This sets cookies from Meta and shares limited activity, such as pages viewed and whether you requested a quote or booking, with Meta as a joint controller. You can withdraw consent at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. Meta's own privacy policy is at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Separately, and without needing consent, the site stores a small amount of data in your own browser only: your light or dark mode choice, your cookie choice, and a temporary backup of the quote form so your details are not lost if the page reloads. This never leaves your device and you can clear it in your browser settings at any time. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email wiganwetbelts@gmail.com. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

8. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on the website.
